Malindo Air begins Varanasi flight from July

Malindo Air is commencing flights between Varanasi and Kuala Lumpur from July 18.

By extension, Varanasi flyers can book to various destinations on Malindo's network in South East Asia- to Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia etc.

This is a great news because not too many international airlines are flying into Varanasi. Only Buddha Air, Thai Smile and Air India express operate international flights out of Varanasi to Kathmandu, DMK and Sharjah respectively. Now with Malindo, a lot more destinations can be accessed one stop via KUL, which earlier required two stops.

Srilankan used to fly to Varanasi from Colombo but they've now suspended direct flight.

Frequency: 3 times a week- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Approx fare:  (Super saver fare without checked baggage)
VNS-KUL- about 15000 INR return
VNS-DPS (Bali)- about 25000 return
Timing: 2210 hours departure
