Changi Airport baggage delay alert

Changi is regarded as one of the finest in the world for a reason. Besides offering best of the facilities and services, Changi also makes effort to comfort guests in the event of inconvenience and discomfort.
According to this news, Changi Airport in Singapore has issued an advisory about a possible delay in baggage delivery. Changi's internal target was to start rolling the bags on the belt within 35 minutes of aircraft parking. But due to rain and risk of static charges and lightening threat, Changi says its workers may have to stand down at certain times, causing delay in baggage delivery.

Changi offers free beverages to passengers who have to wait extra long for their bags to arrive.

When was the last time any of Indian airports did that? Chennai International airport has a legendary waiting period that can last from anywhere between 1 to 2 hours from touch down. Hope they improve.

Cudos to Changi for their proactive measures.
